UPSDM is working towards providing the state youth who are not able to pursue education or any other skills, with skill training choices relevant to them. The training is provided at a reasonable cost and within reasonable distance from their residence. Centers have the facility to give professional counseling to help candidates make better career and skill training choices based upon their interest and aptitude.
National Skill Development Corporation
NSDC aims to promote skill development by catalyzing creation of large, quality and for-profit vocational institutions. Further, the organisation provides funding to build scalable and profitable vocational training initiatives. Its mandate is also to enable support system which focuses on quality assurance, information systems and train the trainer academies either directly or through partnerships. NSDC acts as a catalyst in skill development by providing funding to enterprises, companies and organizations that provide skill training. It also develops appropriate models to enhance, support and coordinate private sector initiatives.
National Council of Vocational Training/ Modular Employability Skills
Ministry of Labour and Employment undertook development of a new strategic framework for skill development of early school leavers and existing workers, especially in the un-organised sector in close consultation with industry, micro enterprises in the un-organised sector, State Governments, experts and academia. After analyzing the existing skills of candidates, the scheme aims at providing employable skills to school leavers, workers, ITI graduates etc and certification after the completion of course.
